Mr. Everett "Pappy" Leeland Rogers, 83, of Gaston, entered into rest Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at Lexington Medical Center.
Born May 7, 1937 in Corbin, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Robert Rogers and Orpha Sears Rogers. He served his country in the Army National Guard and was a retired truck driver. He enjoyed fishing and loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Surviving are: his children, Carol Dodd, Mike Rogers, Ida Demarco and Leeland Rogers; brothers, Donald Rogers and Vernon Rogers; sister, Patricia Fitzgerald; 20 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his sons, Everett Rogers, Jr., Bob Rogers, and Tommy Rogers; brothers, Curtis Rogers, John Rogers, Bill Rogers, Kenneth Rogers, Henry Rogers, Norman Rogers and a half-brother, Robert Anderson and sisters, Caroline Rogers Kathy Singleton, and Betty Gray
The family will have a private memorial service.
