Effie Wilson Quinn, age 101, of Ruffin, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest Friday morning, May 14, 2021, at Pruitt Healthcare. She was married to the late Charlie Edgar Wilson and the late Rev. Clyde Quinn.
Mrs. Quinn was born October 8, 1919 in Russells, Florida to the late Mr. Robert Emmanuel Knowles and the Late Mrs. Annie Iona Shedd Knowles.
Mrs. Effie was a lovely lady who once enjoyed friendly gatherings and family reunions. She had many of her gatherings with her friends at the river where she often liked to go. She also liked fishing and carried out that trait to her two sons. When her grandchildren were younger, she would often make them clothes after working as a seamstress for many years. Mrs. Quinn was known by others a lady that loved to shop. She was greatly loved by her family and will be dearly missed.
She is survived by her sons, Carl Wilson and Charlie Wilson and his wife, Jean, both of Walterboro; grandchildren, Donna Beach, Toni Skpowski (Louis) and Lance Wilson (Jessica); and great grandchildren, Soleil Skpowski, Jax Wilson, Knox Wilson and Chelsea Avant (Scottie)
In addition to both her preceding spouses, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Ralph Knowles, Robert Lee Knowles, Calvin Knowles, Clyde Knowles, Annie Mae Knowles Robertson, Grace Lucille Knowles Stevens Ohde and Elbert Knowles
Graveside services will be conducted at 4 o’clock Sunday afternoon, May 16, 2021, at Mt. Carmel Methodist Church Churchyard, Mt. Carmel Road, Walterboro, South Carolina.
