Mrs. Drema Ann Sanders Carter, 74, of Ehrhardt, entered into eternal rest Friday, November 3, 2023, at her residence. She was the wife of the late John William “Johnny” Carter, to whom she was married 52 years.
Born November 8, 1948, in Beckley, West Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Louis Sanders and Lucille Murdock Sanders. She was a member of St. James Unted Methodist Church. Mrs. Drema loved painting, enjoyed sewing, and especially making stuff for her grandchildren. More than anything, she loved her family and centered her life around them.
Surviving are: her children, Leonard Carter (Lisa), Monica Beard (Michael), and Clint Carter (Tori), all of Ehrhardt; grandchildren, Grayson Carter, Carson Carter, Priscilla Cutter, McKenzie Beard, McKinnley Beard, Taylor Lyons, Amelia Copeland, Colin Carter; sister, Debra Carter (Mike) of Wadmalaw Island; brothers, Mark Sanders of Wadmalaw Island and George Sanders of Virginia; sisters-in-law, Maxie Welch of Ehrhardt and Carolyn Kinard (Carlisle) of Ehrhardt; many nieces and nephews, including a special niece, Mary Louise Schreiber of Ehrhardt; and her caregiver, Alma Praylow. She was preceded in death by her sister, Jane Finnerty.

Funeral services will be held 11 o’clock, Saturday morning, November 11, 2023, at The Brice Herndon Funeral Chapel, Ehrhardt. Interment will follow in Bethany Cemetery, Lodge Road, Ehrhardt.
