Mr. Dennis Wayne Wright, 50, of North Charleston, South Carolina, beloved son of Mr. Samuel Phillip and Mrs. Helen Valdonna Groves Wright went to be with the Lord, Wednesday, September 11, 2019.
Born January 13, 1969, in Waukegan, Illinois. He moved to Charleston, “The Growing City he loved” in 1971. He graduated from R.B. Stall High School in 1989. . He owned and operated Dennis Wright Construction for ten years. Dennis was honest, hard working and dependable. He believed in a honest days work. Dennis was a good son and will always be remembered for his candor and laugh. He was a glass half full kind of guy and a fighter These character traits, love of family and his belief in Christ are what sustained him thorough his illness. Dennis was a patriotic man that loved what the United States of America stood for. He enjoyed traveling, nature and photography. Dennis especially enjoyed sunrises on the beach.
His legacy will live on in the life of his treasured son, Joshua Warren Wright (Alexandia), of Moncks Corner, SC; In addition to his parents he leaves behind a half-brother, Alan Phillip Queen (Victoria) of Springfield, Missouri; half-sister, Cathy June Frank (James) of Somerville, Tennessee; uncles, Richard Franklin Wright, Mikey Groves, Bobbi Groves and Roger Groves; aunts, Patricia “Pattie” Ann Castleberry, Linda Sue Sampson (Jerry), Debbie Lee Cockrine and mother of his son, Jennifer Shirley Smith, and her children Savannah and Whit Smith.
The family would like to thank all the family, friends and medical providers who have loved and cared for Dennis over his lifetime.
“Entrust your loved ones to me; release them into my protective care... My presence will go within them whenever they go, and I will give them rest.”
The family will receive friends during a time of visitation, Monday, September 16, 2019 from 5 o’clock to 7 o’clock at The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Homes and Crematory, Walterboro Chapel, 1193 Bells Highway, Walterboro, South Carolina.
The relatives and friends of Dennis W. Wright are invited to attend his funeral services which will be conducted 2 o’clock Tuesday afternoon, September 17, 2019, at The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Chapel, Walterboro. The Reverend Jim Williams officiating. Interment will follow in Glendale Memorial Cemetery, 2210 Mount Carmel Road, Walterboro.
