Cynthia Dawn Goodwin Davis, 55, of Salley, SC, entered into eternal rest, Saturday, May 27, 2023, at Friends of Caroline Hospice in Bluffton, SC. She was born August 31, 1967, in Walterboro to Sandra B. Lunceford and the late Wilburn Alvin Wright, Jr.

Dawn always had a smile for you and always lots of love for her family and friends. She had a sense of humor and was fun to be around. She could be a little bossy especially to her sister but only because she cared. To know her was to love her. She also loved the Gamecocks especially football.

Left to cherish her memories are her husband, Thomas Davis of Salley, SC; devoted mother and step-father, Sandra and Jerry Lunceford of Bluffton; son, William Tyler Goodwin (fiancée Caroline) of Islandton; granddaughter, Isla Grace of Islandton; son, Dakota R. Powers of Bluffton, sister, Karen Renee Wright of Walterboro; aunt, Linda Hurst Owen of Columbia; aunt Betty F. Britt of Holiday, Florida, uncle, Gregory Britt (Debbie) of Walterboro; cousins, Debbie Walker (Wayne), Julian Britt, and Robert W. Hurst, Nicki B. Crosby (Vic) and Chad Britt; step-sisters, Nicole Stewart (Jeff) of Summerville and Tonya Willingham (Craig) of Durham, NC; sister-in-law, Mary Jo Drew (Michael) of Lexington; step-daughter, Christina Davis of Lugoff; step-son, Brendan Davis (Ericka) of Columbia. She is also survived by her granddaughters, Aubrie, Sarah, Murphy and Grey.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the staff (angels) of the Friends of Caroline Hospice in Bluffton for their compassionate care of Dawn and for her family.

In lieu of flowers the family is requesting that contributions be made in the memory of Dawn to: Friends of Caroline, 329 Friendship Lane, Ridgeland, SC 29936.

A Memorial service was conducted 11 o'clock, Saturday morning, June 3, 2023, at The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Chapel, Walterboro. The family received friends following the service.
