Daniel Benites

Mr. Daniel Benites, 80, entered into eternal rest Sunday evening, October 2, 2022, at Summerville Community Hospice House. He was the husband to his loving wife of forty-three years, Mrs. Sandra Marion Fanning Benites

He was born September 17, 1942, he was the son to the late Plutarco Benites and the late Leona Corteze Benites.  Mr. Benites and his wife moved to Walterboro in 2003 from Big Bear, California.  He was a very outgoing man who made many friends and was dearly loved by so many.  He had a passion for classic cars, old clocks, coo-coo clocks, golf and the outdoors.   He would enjoy camping, fishing and traveling with his wife.  Daniel worked hard landscaping his yard tending to flower beds and plants.  For many years Daniel worked as a manager for defense contracting , Hughes Aircraft Company.   Mr. Benites loved his animals; and loved to make his friends and wife laugh. 

In addition to his wife, Sandra, he is survived by his daughters, Deena Schmid (Randy) and Joann Brown; his grandchildren, Sarah Schmid and Carl Schmid (Jessica); a great-grandchild, Harper Schmid; a brother, Peter Benites; a sister, Linda Arquero (Andy); and a brother –in-law, Carl Fanning.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a brother, Bobby Benites; and a son-in-law, Michael Brown.
