Mr. Dan Henry Padgett, 82, of Islandton, entered into eternal rest Tuesday, May 3, 2022.
Born June 16, 1939 in Hampton County, he was the son of the late Henry Mack Padgett and Annie Mae Bennett Padgett. Mr. Dan possessed a strong and honorable work ethic. He retired as a meat cutter from the Piggly Wiggly in Hampton, where he had worked for 35 years. He also worked for Warren and Griffin Lumber Company in Williams, where he has been a lumber stacker for the past thirty plus years. He also enjoyed farming and will always be remembered for the love he had for his family.
Surviving are: his wife of 64 years, Mrs. Vivian Rahn Padgett; daughters, Brenda Padgett Bryan (Gary) of Bells, Sherrie Padgett (Mark) of Walterboro, Catherine Padgett of Islandton, and Kelly Padgett of Islandton; grandchildren, Michelle Long (Kevin), Holly Godley (T.J.), and Leslie Hiers (Preston); great grandchildren, Reese, Kloe, Luke, and Hunter; and sister, Hazel Ginn of Nixville. He was preceded in death by a sister, Annie Liza Wooten.

Funeral services will be held 11 o’clock, Monday morning, May 9, 2022 at The Brice Herndon Funeral Chapel, Walterboro. Interment will follow in the Rahn-Padgett Cemetery in Islandton.
The family will receive friends prior to the funeral service beginning at 10 am.
