I found my second cousin Charles and his wife Betty about 11 years ago while passing through Islandton searching for my Grandfathers (Milton Polk) family and roots. Even though they didn't know me, they immediately treated me feel like family in their home. Charles and Betty were the epitome of a true southern gentleman and lady and I'm glad to have known them. My condolences to the family and friends of Charles and even though I can't be there for the service, I will be praying for you and thinking of Charles at service time on Wednesday and after.
