Mr. Carl Edward Weeks, age 79, entered into rest Sunday morning, June 7, 2020, at his home in Saint George.
Born Novmber 22, 1940, in Daytona Beach, Florida, he was a son of the late Henry Pascal Weeks and the late Mary Edna Gentry Weeks. He served our country faithfully in the United States Coast Guard and and was a retired long distance truck driver. He was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church in Adams Run. Carl enjoyed the outdoors. He especially loved feeding his birds and tending to his fruit and flowering trees. He was also an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a member of the Veteran’s of Foreign Wars and the National Rife Assocation.
Surviving are: a daughter, Mary Kathryn McAnear of Richmond Hills, Texas; three sisters, Kathryn Almeda Ryder of Ravenel, Jane W. Pharr of Ball Ground, Georgia, and Patricia Weeks Ray of Ravene l; a brother, Larry L. Weeks of Leesburg; and two granchildren. He is also survived by his dear friend and companion, Julia Robertson of Adams Run and her family whom he loved dearly and considered as his own. He was preceded in death by four brothers, D. Wayne Weeks, Curtis P. Weeks, Robert Gerald Weeks, and Hary K. Weeks.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial contributions in his memory to the following: The Alzheimer’s Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave., Fl. 17, Chicago, IL 60601; or to, The American Heart Association, 7272 Greenville Ave., Dallas, TX 75231.
A celebration of his life will be held a date and time in the near future to be announced.
