Mrs. Betty Erwin Carson, 83, of Walterboro, entered into rest Monday evening, February 15, 2021, at her residence under the care of Amedysis Hospice.
Born September 1, 1937 in Salisbury, North Carolina, she was a daughter of the late William Morrison Erwin and Margurite Farrington Erwin. She was a member of Doctor’s Creek Baptist Church. Mrs. Betty loved to travel with her husband, Charles. They especially enjoyed camping at the beach, going to the Biltmore and Dollywood, and looking for antiques wherever they went.
Surviving are: her husband, Charles Richard Carson, Sr. of Walterboro; step-children, Sherri Lynette Smoak and her husband Donald, Stacy Michelle Carter and her husband Jeremy, and Jon Brandon Carson and his wife Michelle; step grandchildren, Bradley Carson, Taylor Figueroa, and Gracelee Carter; sisters, Judith Ann Erwin Kuykendall and Marcie Jean Erwin Davis; and two granddaughters, Rachel McCall and Jenny McCall. She was preceded in death by her son, Victor Keith McCall.
Funeral services will be held 4 o’clock Saturday afternoon, February 20, 2021, at The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Chapel, Walterboro. Interment will follow in Glendale Memorial Cemetery, 2210 Mount Carmel Road, Walterboro.
