Obituary

Betty Chalker Dehnert,90, of Summerville, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Friday, April 22, 2022.

She was born September 6, 1931 in Swainsboro, Georgia to the late Gozie Fletcher and Iler Brown Chalker. She was preceded in death by her loving husband George E. Dehnert in Sun City, Arizona. She retired from the U.S. Department of Justice after 30 years of service. She had a passion for animals and loved to travel during her lifetime.

Many thanks are given to the staff at Harmony at Westscott, Crescent Hospice and Home Instead for the loving care and support they have given.

Graveside services was held on Friday, May 6, 2022, at Little Swamp Methodist Churchyard in Smoaks.
