Mr. Anthony Wayne Armstrong, 54, of Varnville, entered into eternal rest Monday, September 5, 2022 at his residence.
Born June 16, 1968 in Savannah, Georgia, he was a son of the late Clifton Wayne Armstrong and Mamie Louise Morris Armstrong. He was a former truck driver with R and L Carriers. Tony loved coon hunting, fishing, and NASCAR racing. He also enjoyed listening to old country music, pulling jokes on everyone and trips to the mountains. He was a warm-hearted, good man who loved his wife, children and grandchildren and especially loved spending time with his grandchildren whenever he could.
Surviving are: his wife of 24 years, Terry Hubbard Armstrong of Varnville; Rone Smith (Cheyenna) of West Virginia, Phillip Smith of Ohio, Carrie Day (James) of Bloomingdale, Georgia, and Carolyn Armstrong (Yovany Tutbeb) of Morgantown, West Virginia; grandchildren, Daisy Cantu, Celly Cantu, Gabby Day and Mason Day; sister, Betty Jean Lorenzo of Indiana; brothers, Timmy Armstrong of Varnville and Clifton Armstrong of Baxley, Georgia; and two special friends, Donnie Wilson and Sam Tracy.
A memorial service will be held 10 o’clock, Saturday morning, September 10, 2022 at the residence, 1127 Stanley Loop, Varnville.
