Ann Hass Hager

Mrs. Ann Hass Hager, 57, of Cottageville, entered into rest Sunday, July 25, 2021, at her residence.  She was the loving wife of the late Mr. Robert Bradley “Brad” Hager.

Born January 23, 1964, in Norristown, Pennsylvania, she was a daughter of the late Charles Hass, Sr. and Alice Ann Beyer Schweri.  She made Cottageville her home in 1999.  She alongside her late husband, brought the first Buck’s Pizza Franchise of Walterboro opening its doors in 2000, and was also the owner of “The Smoke Shack” in Walterboro.   She was a charter member of the First Church of The Nazarene in Cottageville.  Ann was in every sense of the word a selfless woman with a very sweet and generous heart.  Her life revolved around her family, doing for others, and traveling. 

Surviving are: three children, Roddy Altine of Charleston, Stacy Creel and her husband Justin of Cottageville, and Jessica  Hager of New York; three sisters, Beth Ann Hayes and her husband Tom, Patricia Hickman and her husband John, and Jody Nease and her husband Tom; two brothers, Chuck Hass and his wife Brenda and Tony Schweri; four grandchildren, Jaylen Creel, Savannah Altine, Mariah Creel, and Madison Altine; and her mother-in-law, Jeanine Guagenti Hager.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 o’clock Wednesday morning, August 4, 2021, from First Church of The Nazarene, 8619 Cottageville Highway, Cottageville.   The Reverend Roland Evans officiating.   Interment will follow in Fox Cemetery on Wesley Grove Road, Cottageville.   The family will receive friends Wednesday morning prior to the funeral ceremony beginning at 10 o’clock in the church sanctuary.
