Mr. Allan Fredric Barker, 81, of Ruffin South Carolina, passed away Wednesday, November 10, 2021, at Pruitt Health in Walterboro, South Carolina.
Born October 16, 1940, in Memphis Tennessee, after retiring from the Navy and he and Martha settled in the Walterboro area. He had numerous interests, such as, reading, fishing, going to church, and he especially loved to hunt with his dogs. He was a member of Community Baptist Church near Lodge and was formerly active in the Masonic Lodge, The Order of The Eastern Star, Shriner’s and Scottish Rites.
Allan will be lovingly remembered by his daughter, Virginia Jane Ernest; several grandchildren; David MacBay, Don Northland, Roger Hallock, Stacey Franks, Shane Franks, and numerous other dear family and friends.
He was predeceased in death by his loving wife of forty-five years, Martha; his parents, two brothers and sisters, and two step sons, Frederick and David Franks.
Funeral services will be conducted 11 o’clock Saturday morning, November 12, 2021, from Community Baptist Church, 15893 Bells Highway, Lodge. Pastor Jonathan Mixson officiating. Interment will follow in Community Baptist Church Cemetery, Queen Lane, Ruffin.
The family will receive friends during a time of visitation Saturday morning from 10 until the hour of service in the church sanctuary.
