Yvonne Grooms

Mrs. Yvonne Howard Grooms, affectionately known to everyone as “Bun”, “Nunnie”, and “Big Booty Judy”, 65, of Round O, entered into eternal rest Sunday afternoon, May 15, 2022 at Colleton Medical Center.

Born February 26, 1957, she was the daughter of the late Holland and Marion Howard.  She was a member of Barnwell Outreach Ministries.  She loved her grandbabies.  She loved and prayed for any and everybody she met.  She loved being on her pontoon boat, enjoying the water.  She wanted to go to the Bahamas.  She loved her daughter and granddaughter taking care of her.

Surviving are: her husband, John Franklin Grooms, Sr. of Round O; children, John “Peedee” Grooms, Jr. of Walterboro, Carsten “Doodie” Grooms (Brandy) of Cottageville, and Heidi Grooms (LePaul Fletcher, Sr.) of Round O; daughter, Kacey Lee Grooms (Lucas) of Round O; three brothers, Charles Howard (Gerri), Holland Howard (Barbara) and Shawn Howard; grandchildren, Johnathan Michael Grooms (Mikayla), Taylor Jordan Grooms (Joshua), Hailey Grooms (Sherri), Evan Jack Grooms, Calvin Souder, Landon Conover, Grayson Conover, LePaul Fletcher, Jr., Briana Fletcher, Catori Muckelvaney, Carsten “C.J.” Lee Grooms, Jr. (Patience), Matthew Lee Grooms, Jaiden Lee Grooms, Braelynn Nicole Grooms, and Marina Creel; great grandchildren, Jolin Rae Lane and Mason Jordan Grooms; and many beloved nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Trish Grooms; and her sister, Melanie Edward.

Funeral services will be held 3 o’clock, Wednesday afternoon, May 18, 2022 at The Brice Herndon Funeral Chapel, Walterboro.  The family will receive friends following the service.
