Mr. William Graham Smoak, affectionately known as Duck or Smokey, 61, of North Charleston, entered into eternal rest Saturday, January 8, 2011 at his residence.
Funeral services will be held 2 pm, Tuesday, January 11, 2010 at The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Chapel, Walterboro. Interment will follow in Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mr. Smoak was born October 10, 1949 in Colleton County and was a son of Jennie Carter Smoak and the late Benjamin Leo Smoak. He served his country faithfully in the United States Army and was a retired crane operator.
Surviving are: his mother, Jennie Carter Smoak of Ruffin; sister, Martha Jo Rahn and her husband Kenneth of Ruffin; niece, Joanna Rene Dubose of Ruffin; great nieces, Jenna Rene Dubose and Jessica Ann Dubose; loving caretaker and former wife, Marie Smoak of North Charleston; step-sons, Brian Rutherford of North Charleston and Kevin Rutherford of Goose Creek; granddaughter, Taylor Rutherford; sister-in-law, Marlene Martin of Hamilton, GA; nieces, Tricia Friedline of Hamilton, GA and Laura Martin of Columbus, GA; nephew, Henry Martin of Valley, AL; great nieces, Sierra, Shelby, Kirvy Kay, Henley and Haley; great nephew, Hayden; and his beloved Chihuahua, Little Bit Smoak.
