William Scites

William Kyle Scites, 72, of Walterboro, entered into rest Friday evening, April 25, 2025, at his residence.  He was the husband of the late Mrs. Victoria Davis Scites.

Born May 7, 1952 in Hamlin, West Virginia, he was a son of the late Henry Howard Scites and the late Anne Marie Adkins Scites.  He served faithfully in the United States Navy, having served as a veteran and eventually entering the Reserves until his retirement.  He then worked a distinguished career of over thirty years in security.

Surviving are:  three children, Patti Dessoye (Bernie), Brian Scites, and Angela Pruitt (Darrius); grandchildren, Thomas Dessoye, Alleigh Dessoye, Matthew Scites, Laikyn Berry, Jordan Scites (Sabrah), Abriana Berry, Dorothy Dessoye, Jayde Scites, Tyler Scites (Lelia), Clarence Scites, Shayla Scites, Jahslyn Pruitt, and Aliysa Scites; and two great grandchildren, Rylee Scites and Ellie May Scites.  He was preceded in death by two sons, Clarence Scites and Henry Howard Scites; a sister, Sharon Hagar; and a brother, Clarence Scites.
