William T. Peters

Mr. William Theodore Peters, 68, of Walterboro, entered into rest Wednesday, December 18, 2024, at the Colleton Medical Center in Walterboro.

Born June 17, 1956, in Walterboro, South Carolina, he was a son of the late Lamar R. Peters, II and the late Merle Hiott Selvy.   He will be fondly remembered for achieving excellence in athletics during High School.  He spent most of his life dedicated to missionary work; having built countless buildings and homes as well as assisting with the constructing water systems and contributing to the needs of many different families over various locations in Honduras.  He was affiliated with numerous churches and private organizations that supported his work.  Above all He was a servant of God.

Surviving are: his wife, Olga Aguilar Sanchez; three children, Phillip Peters, Crystal Dean (Alex) and Redding Peters; five siblings, Keven Peters (Jill), Larry J. Peters (Theresa), Terry Peters, and Andrew Selvy (Ashley); and eight grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by a son, Scott Peters; and two brothers, Gary L. Peters and Lamar R. Peters, III.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 o’clock Saturday morning, January 4, 2025, at Refuge Church.
