William "Billy" Northern

Mr. William Marvin Northern, known by all as “Billy”, age 36, of Walterboro, entered into rest Friday morning, May 29, 2020, as a result of injuries sustained during an automobile accident in Colleton County.

Born January 16, 1984, in LaPorte, Indiana, he was a longtime resident of Colleton County and was a son of the late William Scott Kreighbaum and the late Peggy Sue Northern Kreighbaum.    He worked in construction.  Billy was truly a one of a kind guy who put his children above all else.   He loved being outdoors; metal detecting and being on the water.  He immensely enjoyed being with others and was always the life of the party.   He was also into history, learning, researching, and collecting.  He will always be greatly remembered as a true ladies man.

He is survived by his five children, Malaki Lee Northern of Walterboro, Roy Albert Northern of Georgia, Kinsley Elizabeth Northern of Georgia, Alyssa Brooke Northern of Georgia, and Olivia Anne Adams of Walterboro; two sisters, Brandy Kreighbaum Dempsey  (Tray) of Walterboro and Amanda Kreighbaum Lyons (Mason) of Walterboro; and a brother, Kyle Kreighbaum (Jennifer) of Walterboro.  He is also survived by his God-Mother, Mrs. Doreen Folks of Walterboro; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews as well as many whom he loved and considered as family.

In consideration of the extraordinary circumstances associated with the Coronavirus, the funeral service for Billy will be held privately at 11 o’clock, Tuesday morning, June 2, 2020, from The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Chapel, Walterboro.  The funeral service will be live streamed from The Brice Herndon Funeral Chapels and Crematory Facebook page and website.
