Biography
Mr. William Washington Hickman, 63, of Cottageville, entered into eternal rest Sunday, December 18, 2011. He was born April 19, 1948 in Colleton County and was a son of the late Burley Glen Hickman, Sr. and Ethel Dandridge Jordan. Mr. Hickman was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. In his spare time he enjoyed playing music on his guitar, banjo, or harmonica.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, December 21, 2011 at the Brice W. Herndon Funeral Home, Walterboro Chapel. Interment following at the Ackerman Cemetery at Red Oak, Cottageville, S.C.
Surviving are: his son Michael Bailey and his wife Jennifer of Charleston; step-father Roy L. Jordan, Sr.;three brothers, Burley G. Hickman, Jr., Bobbie Gene Jordan and Christy of Cottageville, Roy Jordan, Jr. of Cottageville; one sister, Joyce Roberts of Cottageville; as well as many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
