Biography
Mr. William Frederick Heape, Sr., 67, of Fisher Road, Varnville, entered into eternal rest Tuesday, December 31, 2013.
Funeral services will be held 11 am, Friday, January 3, 2014 at Faith Baptist Church, Hendersonville Highway, Walterboro. Interment will follow in Zahler Cemetery, Old Salkehatchie Road, Early Branch.
Born March 23, 1946 in Colleton County, he was a son of the late Benjamin R. Heape and Minnie Youmans Heape. He served his country faithfully in the United States Army, having served in Vietnam. Mr. Heape was a faithful and active member of Faith Baptist Church and loved his church and church family dearly. He was an avid outdoorsman, who loved hunting, fishing, camping and spending time with his sons. Most of all, he was a devoted husband and father who centered his life around his family.
Surviving are: his wife, Janie Stanley Heape of Varnville; sons, William Frederick Heape, Jr. and his wife Cynthia of Pennsylvania, Paul Heape and his wife Cindy of North Carolina, Ben Heape and his wife Jenny of Ridgeland, and Stephen Heape of Nevada; brothers, James Heape of Cummings and Darrell Heape of Early Branch; and 7 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three sisters, Violet Barber, Teddy Nix, and Alice Harvey; and three brothers, Charles Heape, Richard Heape and Buster Heape.
