Biography

Mr. William Todd Goodwin, 49, of Walterboro, entered into his eternal rest Saturday evening, May 12, 2012, at the Colleton Medical Center in Walterboro.

Funeral services will be conducted 1 o'clock Thursday afternoon, May 17, 2012, from The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Chapel, Walterboro. Interment will follow in Live Oak Cemetery, Jefferies Blvd, Walterboro.

Mr. Goodwin was born January 28, 1963, in Walterboro and was a son of the late William "Billy" Goodwin and the late May Hill Goodwin. He was a former right-a-way agent and was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church in Walterboro. He was star running back for the John C. Calhoun Football Team and was an avid University of South Carolina Game Cock fan.

Surviving are: his wife, Brooke Benton Goodwin; two sons, William Tyler Goodwin and Cody Lane Goodwin both of Walterboro; his mother-in-law, Teresa Smith of Islandton; and his father-in-law, Wendy Benton and his wife Debbie of Sniders. He was preceded in death by a sister, Laura Elaine Goodwin.
