Mr. Will Ryan W.R. Pellum, 87, of Islandton, died Monday, April 6, 2009 at Colleton Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held 4 pm, Wednesday, April 8, 2009 in New Hope Advent Christian Church. Interment will follow in Peniel Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mr. Pellum was born January 11, 19922 in Colleton County and was a son of the late William Benjamin Pellum and Annie Warren Pellum. He was a member of New Hope Advent Christian Church, where he served as a Deacon and on the Grounds and Building Committee. Mr. Pellum retired from Warren-Griffin Lumber Company in Williams.
Surviving are: his wife of 67 years, Evelyn Bishop Pellum; children, Judy Valentine and her husband Mendell of Walterboro and Ryan L. Pellum of Islandton; daughter-in-law, Mary Pellum of Walterboro; sisters, Lois Bunton and her husband Jimmy of Walterboro and Jeanette Blackwelder and her husband Don of Columbia; grandchildren, Brandy DuBoise, William Benjamin Pellum, Jr., Stephen Valentine, Angie Colbert, Sherri Groves, Donna Hawkins, Sheila Ackerman, Dorinda Player, Jodi Pellum and Greg Pellum; and many great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sons, William Benjamin Bill Pellum and Liston Pellum.
