Mr. Wendell Tuten, 59, of Hampton, entered into eternal rest Monday morning, September 29, 2025, at Hampton Regional Medical Center.
Born December 28, 1965, in Beaufort, he was a son of the late Charles Tuten, Sr. and Marilyn “Pippy” Pope Tuten. He attended Wade Hampton High School and was a retired Master Carpenter. He was baptized by the First Christian Church of Hampton. Wendell was an avid Carolina Gamecock fan, loved NASCAR racing, and enjoyed fishing. Most of all, he loved his family and was a great father.
Surviving are: his children, Kyle Tuten and his wife, Ali Miller of Candler, North Carolina, and Leah Tuten of Nixville; one that he loved as a daughter, Arizona Carson; grandchildren, Ethan Herndon, Abel Tuten, Nova Carson, Zayden Carson, and Makias Carson; his best friend, Amy Steinmeyer of Varnville; sisters, Marilyn DeLoach of Hampton and Janet Muckenhirn of Varnville; nephews, Walt DeLoach, Blake DeLoach, David Lee, and Justin Nix, and their families. He was preceded in death by his brother, Charles Tuten Jr.
