Mr. Wallace Wilson Beach, 74, of Logan Farm Road, Walterboro, entered into his state of eternal rest Tuesday afternoon, November 30, 2010, at his residence.



Funeral services will be conducted 3 oclock Sunday afternoon, December 5, 2010, from Mount Carmel United Methodist Church, 5277 Mount Carmel Road, Walterboro, with The Reverend Tim Soucy officiating. Interment will follow in the churchyard.



Mr. Beach was born December 4, 1935, in Colleton County and was a son of the late Lewis H. Beach and the late Ethel Robertson Beach. He was a retired employee of Upchurch Lumber Company in Walterboro and was a member of the Mount Carmel United Methodist Church in Walterboro. He was an avid outdoorsman, always enjoying hunting white tail deer and fishing the local creeks and rivers of Colleton County. He was a member of Davis Pasture Hunting Club.



Surviving are: two daughters, Ethel Rudy Ward of Brunson and Sue Prado of Kinston, North Carolina; a sister, Norma Beach Lyons of Walterboro; and two brothers, James Edward Beach and Witsell Beach, Sr. both of Walterboro. There are four grandchildren and six great grandchildren that also survive. He was formerly married to Carolyn Platt Stevens of Hampton and Delores Beach of Varnville.
