Wade Bowen

Mr. Dennis Wade Bowen, 40, of Smoaks, entered into rest Monday afternoon, February 25, 2019, at the Summerville Medical Center.

Born December 31, 1978, in Orangeburg, South Carolina, he was a son of Dennis W. Bowen and Phyllis Smith Stanley.   Wade received his Associates Degree in Machine Tool.  For a number of years, he was a Policeman with The Cities of Demark, Saint George, and Walterboro.   Currently he was a framer in Residential Construction.   He was a member of Buckhead Advent Christian Church.  Wade was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing and being with friends.  He was an avid fan of the Carolina Game Cocks and Dale Earnhardt, Jr. Motor Sports Racing.

Surviving are: his mother, Phyllis Smith Stanley and her husband Larry of Walterboro; his father, Dennis W. Bowen and his wife Eathal of Simpsonville; his son who was the love and light of his life, Russell Blake Bowen; three brothers, Larry J. Youmans and his wife Chelsea of Round O, Brad Bowen and his wife Lindsey of Simpsonville, Ken Stanley and his wife Gloria of Walterboro; and two sisters, Hope Youmans Terrapin of Canadys and Lindsay Youmans Langdale and her husband Jamie of Smoaks.  There is a host of loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins that also survive.  He was preceded in death by his step-father whom he adored, Larry J. Youmans.

Funeral services will be conducted 2 o’clock Thursday afternoon, February 28, 2019, from the graveside at Tabernacle Cemetery, Highway 21, Smoaks.
