Vivian Mcmillan

Mrs. Vivian Kinsey McMillan, 94, of 12243 Green Pond Highway in Green Pond, died Sunday afternoon, March 15, 2009, surrounded by her loving family at her residence under the care of Hospice Care of South Carolina. She was the wife of the late Mr. Henry Sanders McMillan, Sr.



Funeral services will be conducted 11 oclock Wednesday morning, March 18, 2009, from Green Pond Baptist Church, 12317 Green Pond Highway, Green Pond with The Reverend Louis Bearden and The Reverend James Williams officiating. Interment will follow in the churchyard. Serving as casket bearers will be her grandsons, Karl A. McMillan, Cary McMillan, Patrick McMillan, Jody McMillan, and Jason McMillan, and her great grandson Kinsey McMillan. Honorary escorts will be her granddaughters, Sarah Remley McMillan and Grace McMillan Streit.



Mrs. McMillan was born June 16, 1914, in Colleton County and was a daughter of the late James Benjamin Kinsey and the late Ella Jane Jaques Kinsey. She was a longtime and devoted member of Green Pond Baptist Church where she served the church in many capacities to include church treasurer for twenty years. In her earlier years, she worked as a seamstress and will always be fondly recalled for her love of gardening and center her life around her loving family.



Surviving are: her three sons, Karl W. McMillan and his wife Gail of Waynesboro, Georgia, H. S. Sandy McMillan, Jr. and his wife Evelyn of Green Pond, and Fred A. McMillan and his wife Alice of Green Pond; and a sister, Elizabeth Way of Charleston. There are seven grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren that also survive.
