Vivian Kinard

Mrs. Vivan Murdaugh Kinard, 88, of Walterboro, entered into eternal rest Sunday afternoon, April 26, 2026, at Trident Medical Center. She was the wife of the late Keever Esdorn Kinard.

Born November 3, 1937, Colleton County, she was a daughter of the late Edward Carroll Murdaugh and Charity Elizabeth Robertson Murdaugh. She was a retired seamstress from Smoaks Manufacturing where she worked for 43 years. She was a member of Grace Advent Christian Church and attended Smoaks Church of God of Prophecy. Mrs. Vivian loved reading and enjoyed crossword type games.

Surviving are: her son, Norris Michael Kinard of Ruffin; brother, Kenneth Murdaugh of Walterboro; granddaughter, Kim Boyd; 4 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Donnie Kinard and his wife Bertha; granddaughter, Tammy Bonner; grandson, Eddie Kinard; sisters, Emmaline Smith, Janie Valentine, Marie Herndon, Louise Hiers, and Rebecca Thompson; brother, Carroll Murdaugh and his wife Debbie; and sister-in-law, Joanne Murdaugh.

Funeral services will be held 2 o’clock, Thursday afternoon, April 30, 2026, at The Brice Herndon Funeral Chapel, Walterboro. Interment will follow in Glendale Memorial Cemetery, 2210 Mount Carmel Road, Walterboro.

The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 1 o’clock until the hour of service.
