Mrs. Vivian Pellum Baker, 82, of Walterboro, entered into eternal rest Sunday morning, September 21, 2025, at her residence.
Born October 30, 1942, in Charleston, she was the daughter of the late Scott Pellum and Cora Lee Garvin Pellum. After losing her parents at a very young age, she was raised by Ashley and Georgia Mae Carson Pellum.
For many years Vivian worked and ran the office for Judge Richard Wood. She was dedicated and hard working. Years later, Vivian and her husband Kenneth, opened a seafood store, “Bakers Shrimp”. She ran that store with pride and passion, and she loved every minute of it. Vivian was a loving wife, mother, mother-in-law, and grandmother. She was so proud of her family.
Surviving are: her husband of 65 years, Kenneth Baker of Walterboro; sons, Kenneth Baker and his wife Debi and Chris Baker and his wife Angie; grandchildren, Angela, Jordan and his wife Kelly, Justin, Christa, Shelby, and Bella; great grandchildren, Paisleigh, Lacie, and Lexie; and her brother, Elmer Gene Pellum. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Harry Scott Pellum, Eugene Pellum, and Emma Jean Hiott.
Funeral services will be held 3 o’clock, Thursday afternoon, September 25, 2025, at The Brice Herndon Funeral Chapel, Walterboro. Interment will follow in Green Pond Baptist Church Cemetery, 12295 Green Pond Highway, Green Pond.
The family will receive friends during a time of visitation Thursday afternoon from 2 o’clock until the hour of service.
