Vergie Mixon Price

Vergie Mixon Price, 86, of Walterboro, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest Saturday morning, December 25, 2021, at Colleton Medical Center.

Born in Walterboro, South Carolina, she was a daughter of the late Gassie Mixon and the late Annie Rell Preister Mixon.  She was the widow of the late Henry Julius Price.

She is survived by sons: Wayne Price (Debbie) of Florence, Dean Price (Donna) of Georgetown, and Michael Price (Terry) and Charles Price (Desire), both of Walterboro; a brother, James Mixon (Donna); sisters, Genevieve Fender (Rudy), Sadie Cotton and Reba Williams.  She is also survived by a host of grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her grandson, Kirkland Dean Price; brothers, Randal Mixon, Mondell Mixon and Eric Mixon; and sisters, Louise Crosby and Betty Ann Polk.

Funeral services will be conducted 11 o’clock Tuesday morning, December 28, 2021, at The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Home, Walterboro Chapel.   Interment will follow in Glendale Memorial Cemetery, 2210 Mount Carmel Road, Walterboro.

The family will receive friends prior to the funeral ceremony beginning at 10 o’clock at The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Home, Walterboro Chapel.
