Mr. Tony Leonard Nettles, 54, of Ruffin, entered into eternal rest Thursday, June 2, 2016 at MUSC in Charleston.
A graveside service will be held 4 pm, Monday, June 6, 2016 at Smoak Cemetery, Cane Branch Road, Ruffin.
Born March 30, 1962 in Walterboro, he was a son of Leonard Lee Nettles and Betty Ruth Padgett Nettles. He was a former employee of M&R Packing and had also worked at Benton’s Feed and Seed. He loved spending time outdoors, fishing and especially working in his garden. He was a caretaker of Smoak Cemetery. Most of all, he will be remembered for his caring and humble heart and for always being someone that cared more for others than he did for himself.
Surviving are: his parents, Leonard and Betty Nettles; his wife, Penny Robertson Nettles; son, Thomas Corey Nettles, step-son, Alton Walt Driggers; and brothers, Timothy Allen Nettles and Gary Wayne Nettles. He was preceded in death by a brother, David Lee Nettles.
