Todd Lyons, Sr.
July 6, 1962 — March 27, 2016
Mr. Gregory Todd Lyons, Sr., 53, of Smoaks, entered into eternal rest Sunday, March 27, 2016 at The Regional Medical Center in Orangeburg after a hard fought battle with cancer.
Funeral services will be held at 3 pm, Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral home, Ehrhardt-Bamberg Chapel. Interment will follow in Hagan Cemetery.
Born July 6, 1962 in Bamberg County and was a son of Buddy and Sara Strickland Lyons. He was a Trade Specialist at SCDOT-Bamberg County where he worked for 28 years and had many very special co-workers and friends. He loved to hunt and was a lifelong member of the Bull Bay Hunting Club. He was also a member of the Berea Advent Christian Church. He most loved spending time with his children, grandchildren, and family.
Surviving in addition to his parents of Smoaks are: his three children, Jennifer Martin (Jason Etheredge), Todd Lyons Jr. (Mandy Bishop), and Sara Elizabeth Craven (Dallas Craven); seven grandchildren, Victoria Martin, Aubrey Martin, Russell Bowen, Katie Craven, Blake Craven, Emily Lyons, and Briar Lyons; as well as a granddaughter due in August. He is also survived by his two brothers, Buddy Lyons, Jr. (Teresa) and Wade Lyons, Sr. (Lynette); two nephews, Wade Lyons, Jr. and George Lyons; three special aunts, Peggy Langston, Judy Jeffcoat, and Aquilla Lyons; and many cousins, inlcuding John Langston, Tony Lyons, and Jamie Carter, who Todd regarded as his brothers.
