Timothy Wayne Sease

May 5, 1942 — March 18, 2013

Mr. Timothy Wayne Sease, 70, of Ehrhardt, entered into eternal rest Monday, March 18, 2013 at Providence Hospital in Columbia.

Funeral services will be held 2 o’clock Thursday, March 21, 2013 at Ehrhardt Baptist Church, Ehrhardt. Interment will follow in Ehrhardt Cemetery.

Mr. Sease was born May 5, 1942 in Ehrhardt, the son of the late Arthur Vernon Sease and Sally Watts Sease Kinard, stepson of the late James M. Kinard. He was a member of Ehrhardt Baptist Church, where he served on the Deacon board, was a Church Trustee, and Sunday School Secretary. He had also served on the School Board and on the Ehrhardt Town Council. He was the manager of the Hampton Chip Mill for Westvaco, now known as Kapstone Paper, for 38 years. He was dedicated to his work, considering it a hobby instead of a job because he loved what he did. Most of all, he loved his family and was a devoted husband, proud father of 3 children, and extra proud grandfather of 6 grandchildren.

He is survived by: his wife of 48 years, Yvonne Medlin Sease; children, Richard Sease of Orangeburg, Michelle (Charles) Hammond of Lancaster and Brandon Sease of Nashville, Tennessee; brother, James Sease (Sandra) of Ehrhardt; grandchildren, Austin, Dillon and Sidney Lauren Sease, and Abbi, Emma and Alex Hammond; one aunt, Eliza “Tootsie” Tolbert of Greenwood; two uncles, Richard Watts and Thomas “Chop” Watts, both of Clinton; special brother-in-law, James (Carol) Collins of Olar, special sister-in-law, Bobbie Medlin of Ehrhardt; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to: Connie Maxwell Children’s Home, Post Office Box 1178, Greenwood, SC 29646.

The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6 until 8 at THE BRICE W. HERNDON AND SONS FUNERAL HOMES, EHRHARDT-BAMBERG CHAPEL, 2515 Lowcountry Highway, Ehrhardt, 803.267.1971; www.briceherndonfuneralhome.com.
