Timothy Wilfred Lyons

Mr. Timothy Wilfred Lyons, age 69, entered into rest Monday morning, January 16, 2017, at his home on Buckhead Road in Smoaks.

Funeral services with military honors be conducted 11 o’clock Saturday morning, January 21, 2017, from the graveside at Hagen Cemetery, Smoaks.   The Reverend Tim Soucy, officiating.

Born November 16, 1947, in Colleton County, he was a son of the late Wilfred Walter Lyons and the late Katie Frederickson Lyons.  He served our country faithfully in the United States Army during the Vietnam Ear and was a retired road construction superintendent.   He was a lifelong member of Berea Advent Christian Church.  Timmy was an outdoorsman who truly loved nature.  His greatest pastimes in life were hunting and fishing and he possessed a strong passion for firearms, being an avid gun collector.

Surviving are: his two beloved sisters, Linda Lyons Warren of Smoaks and Annie Mae Priester of Walterboro; five children, Lucky, Matthew, Michelle, Tammy, and Jennifer as well as a large host of cousins, nieces, and nephews.

The family has suggested for those that desire to make a memorial contribution in his memory to: Berea Advent Christian Church, 34 Christian Drive, Smoaks, South Carolina 29481.

The family will be at the home of Mrs. Linda Lyons Warren, 670 Buckhead Road, Smoaks.
