Mr. Timothy Lee Hiers, 55, of Evergreen Lane, Walterboro, entered into eternal rest Tuesday, January 7, 2014 at his residence.
Funeral services will be held 1 pm, Friday, January 10, 2014 at The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Home, Walterboro Chapel. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Bells Highway, Walterboro.
Born October 1, 1958 in Walterboro, he was a son of the late Herman William Hiers and Mattie Louise Murdaugh Hiers. He was employed by the South Carolina State Park System for 26 years and worked as a Park Technician at Rivers Bridge State Park in Ehrhardt, a job that greatly loved. He was an avid outdoorsman, who loved to hunt and loved any and all animals. Most of all, he loved his family, especially his grandchildren, and centered his life around them.
Surviving are: his wife, Tammy Biering Hiers of Walterboro; daughter, Beth Hiers and her husband Lee Glisson of Walterboro; grandchildren, Phillip Joseph Solano, Dakota Glisson and Ansley Glisson; brothers, Tony Hiers and Lee Hiers, both of Walterboro; and sisters. Liz Roberts, Lisa Drawdy and Billie Jean Hiers, all of Walterboro and Mary Hiers of Summerville.
