Mr. Thomas Jerry Nichols, 70, of Cottageville, entered into his state of eternal rest Monday morning, January 17, 2011, at his residence.
Mr. Nichols was born May 23, 1940, in Griffin, Georgia and was reared in Maryland, by his parents the late John Henry Nichols and the late Vera Smith Nichols. He was a retired employee of the City of Walterboro having worked in many different areas with the City during his tenure. He was of the Baptist faith and will be fondly remembered for his love of fishing for large mouth bass.
Surviving are: his wife, Mrs. Hendrina Koeman Nichols; two step-sons, Ronald Edwin Agerbeek of Beaufort and Richard Charles Agerbeek of New York; and a sister, Mary Ann Ferguson of Round O. There are four step grandchildren; three step great grandchildren; and a niece, Kelly Ferguson Still of Round O; a nephew, Michael Lee Ferguson of Summerville; and a grand niece, McKenzie Chandler Ware of Round O.
Flowers will be accepted, or for those that wish, the family has respectfully requested that memorial contributions be directed in his memory to: Boy Scouts of America.
