Thimothy Harding Dopson

Mr. Thimothy Harding Dopson, affectionately known as Timmy, 53, of Islandton, entered into eternal rest Wednesday afternoon, January 26, 2022 at Colleton Medical Center.

Born July 13, 1968 in Hampton County, he was the son of Eddie Robert Dopson and the late Fredia Williams Dopson.  Timmy was the owner and operator of Dopson Repair Service, which he opened in 2006, but had been working on hvac and refrigeration systems alongside his dad since he was 11 years old.  He enjoyed traveling but especially loved fishing and crabbing in the swamps of the Lowcountry.  More than anything, he loved his children and spending time with them.

Surviving are: his father, Eddie Dopson of Islandton; the mother of his children, Samantha Seegers Dopson of Marble, North Carolina; his children, Jeb Dopson, Ryan Dopson and E.V. Dopson, all of Islandton; sister, Lora Dopson Moseley and her husband Brantley of Hampton; and many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by a sister, Denise Darlene Dopson.

Funeral services will be held 11 o’clock, Saturday morning, February 5, 2022 at Open Arms Fellowship, 402 Hoover Street North, Hampton.  The family will receive friends for a time of visitation following the service.
