Miss Terri Lynn Carter, 47, of Smoaks, entered into rest early Wednesday morning, March 2, 2016, at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston.
Funeral services will be conducted 4 o’clock Friday afternoon, March 4, 2016, from the graveside in Little Swamp United Methodist Churchyard, Smoaks.
Born April 17, 1968, a native of Colleton County, South Carolina, she was a daughter of Jake Evington Carter, Jr. and Susan Carter Myers. A former waitress, she was a member of Little Swamp United Methodist Church and will always be remembered for the love she possessed for her kitten, Precious. She was an avid Jeff Gordon and Nascar race fan.
Surviving in addition to her parents are: brothers, Jake E. Carter, III of Smoaks and John E. Carter of Indianapolis, Illinois; two step-sisters, Alice C. Thomas and her husband John of Beaufort and Mary Brassard and her husband George of Iva; two special aunts, Cornelia C. Goodwin of Smoaks and Mary C. Williams and her husband Holland of Walterboro; as well as several cousins. Because of Terri’s unselfish heart, she blessed a family with a beautiful baby girl to raise as their own.
