Teddy Ray McMillan, Sr., 61, of Avalon Drive in the Sniders Community in Ruffin, entered into rest Wednesday morning, January 8, 2014, at the Colleton Medical Center in Walterboro.
Funeral services will be conducted 11 o'clock Saturday morning, January 18, 2014, from Shiloh Baptist Church, 10565 Lowcountry Highway, Ruffin. The Reverend Ricky Crosby officiating. Interment with military honors will follow in the churchyard.
The family will receive friends following the committal service at the church.
Born June 23, 1952, a native and lifelong resident of Colleton County, he was a son of the late Thomas Riddick McMillan and the late Thelma Nettles McMillan. He served our country faithfully in the United States Air Force and was a truck driver having worked for WBT in Walterboro. Ray was an outdoorsman who loved spending time with his family and friends. He was a talented handyman and great mechanic. He also possessed a special love for farming and was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving are: his wife of thirty-five years, Mrs. Polly Ann Crosby McMillan; a son, Teddy Ray "Bubba" McMillan, Jr. of Ruffin; a daughter, Renee McMillan Colson and her husband William of Round O; three brothers, Lee McMillan, Jerry McMillan, and Tony McMillan all of Ruffin; and two sisters, Myrtle Ann Aker and Mary Ann McMillan all of Ruffin. There are eight grandchildren that also survive.
