Sylvia Carson

Mrs. Sylvia Bazzle Carson, 60, of 130 Manor Drive, Walterboro, entered into her state of eternal rest Tuesday afternoon, October 26, 2010, at the Colleton Medical Center in Walterboro.



Funeral services will be conducted 11 oclock Saturday morning, October 30, 2010, from Victory Baptist Church, 161 Maple Ridge Road, Walterboro with The Reverend Jerome Hodge officiating. Interment will follow in Glendale Memorial Cemetery, 2210 Mount Carmel Road, Walterboro.



Mrs. Carson was born March 24, 1950, in Colleton County and was a daughter of the late John Irvin Bazzle and the late Mertie Marie Herndon Bazzle. She was a member of Victory Baptist Church.



Surviving are: her husband of forty-four years, Mr. Charles Richard Carson, Sr.; four children, Charles Richard Carson, Jr. and his wife Bridgett of Ruffin, Sherri Lynette Smoak and her husband Donald of Ruffin, Stacy Michelle Carter and her husband Jeremy of Hendersonville, and Jon Brandon Carson of Columbia; a sister, Verona Faulkenberry of Walterboro; and a brother, Jimmy Irvin Herndon and his wife Frances of Walterboro. There are two grandchildren, Donald Bradley Smoak and Taylor Lynette Smoak that also survive. She was preceded in death by a sister, Sarah Frances Gruber.
