Suzanna Cox

Ms. Suzanna Leigh Cox, 37, of Walterboro, entered into eternal rest Friday afternoon, January 5, 2024, at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston.

Born December 30, 1986, in Mount Pleasant, she was the daughter of Daniel Len Cox, Sr. and Susan Strickland Cox.  She attended Refuge Church in Walterboro.  After completing the first cosmetology school in Walterboro, she began working mostly in the Summerville area with some private clients in Walterboro and was also a Doctor’s Tech at Pearl Vision on Rivers Avenue in North Charleston.  To know Suzanna, or “Nanner” as she was affectionately known by many, was to love her.  She would light up a room when she walked in and the love she had for life, her family, and her friends radiated through her.  She was a true fashionista who had a passion for fashion and especially loved going to the beach.  She loved her fur babies, Sapphire and Jasmine, and was greeted by her beloved Kissarie who was waiting on her at Rainbow Bridge.

Surviving are: her parents, Dan and Susan Cox of Walterboro; brother, Daniel Len Cox, II and his wife Jennifer of Walterboro; her beloved nieces and nephew, Grace Ann Cox, Bailey Hope Cox, and Cody Len Cox, all of Walterboro; aunts, Hazel Risher, Sarah Stanfield (Wayne), Debra Britt (Greg), Peggy Langdale, Penny Strickland, Vicky Dopson (Tommie) and Charlene Cox; uncle, Ronnie Strickland (Gail); and a host of loving cousins and extended family.  She was preceded in death by her twin brother, Johnathan Wade Cox; maternal grandparents, Reverend Arnold M. Strickland and Reverend Jacqueline Lyles Strickland; paternal grandparents, Wade H. Cox and Louise Stokes Cox; and uncles, Jimmy Risher, Willis Langdale, Jack Cox and Wade Cox.

Funeral services will be held 11 o’clock, Tuesday morning, January 9, 2024, at The Brice Herndon Funeral Chapel, Walterboro.  Interment will follow in Providence Cemetery, Lindsay Road, Round O.
