Susan Stanfield

Mrs. Susan Elaine Stanfield, 59, of Walterboro, died Friday morning, September 26, 2008, at Heritage Health Care of Walterboro. She was the widow of Mr. Walter A. Stanfield.



Funeral services will be conducted 1:30 Sunday afternoon, September 28, 2008, from The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Chapel, Walterboro. Interment will follow in Live Oak Cemetery, Walterboro.



Mrs. Stanfield was born November 25, 1948, in Colleton County and was a daughter of the late Wilfred W. Lyons and the late Katie Frederickson Lyons. She was a retired news carrier for the Walterboro Route of the Post and Courier in Charleston. She was a member of Berea Advent Christian Church and had also attended Sandy Dam United Methodist Church.



Surviving are: a step-son, Allen Stanfield of Walterboro; a step-daughter, Gloria Stanfield of Georgia; a brother, Timothy W. Lyons of Smoaks; and two sisters, Annie Mae Priester of Ruffin and Linda Warren and her husband Harold of Smoaks. She was preceded in death by a grandson, whom she raised, Justin B. Stanfield.
