Mrs. Susan Gayle Peters Davis, 77, of Pelion, passed away peacefully Saturday morning, February 15, 2025, at her residence. She is now reunited with the love of her life, Mr. Truman Joseph “Davy” Davis, Jr. who passed away almost one year ago.
She worked for Beaufort County before turning her love of interior design into a career. In later years, she enjoyed watching game shows and crime dramas on television. Watching the birds in her front yard brought her great enjoyment; but, her greatest joy in life was being a mother and grandmother.
Susan is survived by her daughter, Christina Davis; son, Trenton Jay “T.J.” Davis (Amanda Bass), all of Pelion; and grandchildren, Amanda Davis, Geoffrey Davis, Katie Davis, Hailey Davis, Zoe Bass, Peyton Bass, McKinley Bass, and Ledger Bass. She is also survived by her sister, Grace Stroble of Summerville; and brothers, Tony Peters of Greenville, Reginald Dale Peters of Texas, and Jerry Peters of Charleston. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lamar Rudolph Peters, Jr. and Hazel Ehrhardt Peters; her stepmother, Margaret Peters; and brothers, Buddy Peters, Jimmy Peters, Benny Peters, and Otis Albert Peters.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 o’clock Tuesday afternoon, February 18, 2025, from The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Chapel, Walterboro. The Reverend Brody Pope officiating. Interment will follow in Tabernacle Cemetery in Smoaks.
