Mr. Stanley Edwin Bubba Crosby, Jr., 41, of Augusta Highway, Round O, entered into his state of eternal rest Monday afternoon, October 18, 2010, at his residence under the care of Hospice Care of South Carolina.



Funeral services will be conducted 2 oclock Thursday afternoon, October 21, 2010, from The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Chapel, Walterboro. Interment will follow in Adnah United Methodist Church Cemetery, Adnah Church Road, Islandton.



Mr. Crosby was born April 3, 1969, in Orangeburg, and was a son of Stanley Edwin Crosby and Dorothy Zeigler Crosby. He attended Welch Creek Christian Academy, Smoaks Middle School, and Ruffin and Walterboro High Schools. He was a member of Canadys First Baptist Church and worked in Logging and Construction for over twenty years. He fought Huntington Chorea Disease for nearly ten years. Before his illness, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and boating. He loved spending time with his family and children, camping at the river, attending camp meeting at Cypress Camp Ground in Ridgeville in October, and especially spending time with his brother Jason, who was his best friend and will forever remain in his heart. He possessed a special love for his dog, who was a part of the family and other best friend Sam, who was very much apart of Bubbas life everyday for the past ten years.



Surviving are: his wife: Jennifer Stanfill Crosby; four children, Daniel Ryan Crosby and Kristie Marie Crosby both of Walterboro, and Cameron Willis Crosby and Courtney Elizabeth Crosby of Round O; his father and step-mother, Stanley Edwin and Dorothy Walicki Crosby of Smoaks; his mother, Dorothy Dottie Zeigler Crosby of Elloree; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Harry W. and Paula H. Stanfill of Round O; his grandparents, Daniel Edwin and Marie Crosby of Smoaks, Mildridge Zeigler of Elloree, and Edward and Margaret Walicki of Walterboro. There is a brother, Anthony Jason and his wife Marlene Teeling Crosby of Walterboro; a sister, Angela Crosby Risher and her husband Michael of Walterboro; a sister-in-law, Kendall Rollins McIntire of Goose Creek; a step-sister, Judy Morris Beach of Smoaks; two step-brothers, Guss Morris of Summerville and Troy Crosby and his wife Penny of Walterboro. There were nieces and nephews that were close to his heart, Jenna Crosby and Kenneth Kenny Beach, Jr., Summer Crosby and Seirra Crosby, Kendra Dooley and Justin Dooley, Victoria Vicky: Thomas and Kristen Krissy Thomas, Charles Chuckie Rollins, II, Cindy Rollins, and Kristen McIntire; as well as several other nieces and nephews of Walterboro and Smoaks. There was a special aunt, Janita Rat Beckett of Walterboro; along with several aunts, uncles, and cousins of Walterboro, Smoaks, and Elloree.



In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the following: Hospice Care of South Carolina, 134 Bells Highway, Walterboro, SC 29488; or to the family.
