Shirley Jenkins

Mrs. Shirley Jane Hinish Jenkins, 72, of Charleston, entered into eternal rest Saturday, June 19, 2010 at the Hospice Center of Charleston.



Mrs. Jenkins was born August 18, 1937 in Six Mile Run, Pennsylvania and was a daughter of William Hinish and Alice Noel Hinish. She was a retired security officer, was a long standing member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW, and always supported various police departments as long as she was able. She loved to read, loved her family and loved spending time with her grandchildren.



Surviving are: her daughters, Cindy Cornell and her fianc, Robert Alford of Hanahan and Mary Beth Lemley and her husband Ron of Walterboro; grandchildren, Heather Clark, Andrew Jeremy Cornell and Bethandrea Revis; and great grandchildren, Caitlin Segar-Lee Cornell, Christopher Michael Cornell, Alexander Jeremy Cornell and Cameron Cornell. She was preceded in death by a son, Donald Ellis Brantner, Jr.; and two sons-in-law, Isaac Harry Cumberland and George Alexander Revis.



A memorial service will be held in Charleston, SC at a later date.
