Sheila Tanner

March 2, 1944 — December 5, 2022

Williams, South Carolina

Mrs. Sheila Ann Tanner, 78, of Williams, was called home by our Lord Monday evening, December 5, 2022, at her residence surrounded by her beloved family.

Born March 2, 1944, in Fort Myers, Florida, she’s the ninth of thirteen children born to the late Paul and Lillie Browning (Brewer).  While in LaBelle, Florida, she was a member of the First Church of God where she was a Sunday School Teacher, Youth Group Leader, and longtime secretary of Tanner’s Gun Repair Service.  After making Williams, South Carolina their home nearly seventeen years ago, Sheila and her Husband Gene became media members of Jimmy Swaggart Ministries. Known as “MA” by her close friends and family, she was a strong pillar of grace, kindness, and patience that has held our family together for generations. She was devoted to her family as much as she was in her faith to God. She is dearly missed!

Surviving are: her husband of over sixty years, Mr. Manuel Gene Tanner; a son, James Manuel Tanner (Nancy) of Florida and Gina Elizabeth Tanner Barker of Williams; seven grandchildren; and nineteen great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorials be directed in her memory to: Williams Cemetery, care of Mrs. Mary Couch. Post Office Box 33, Williams, SC 29493.

A Private Memorial service will be held in Williams, South Carolina at a later date.
