Shawn DuBoise

Linda Shawn DuBoise, affectionately known as “Shawn”, entered into eternal rest peacefully surrounded by family and friends on Thursday evening, October 16, 2025, at the age of 66.

Shawn was born September 21, 1959, in Albany, Georgia, the daughter of Myrtle Valentine DuBoise and the late Ormand “Dale” DuBoise. Until her death, Shawn used her smile, sense of humor, kindness, and hope to charm those fortunate enough to know and interact with her. She shall be remembered for her kindness, love, humor, creativity, and healing gifts.

She is survived by her husband, Jimmie Lee Williams of Walterboro; mother, Myrtle Valentine of Walterboro; siblings, Teri Leigh Linder (David) of Bamberg and Candy Dale DuBoise (Frank Rudd) of Walterboro; children, Lisa Michelle Moffitt (Vince Dodson) of Goose Creek, Ormand Dale DuBoise, II of Oregon, Adam Cecil Kelly of Cottageville, and Darrell James DuBoise of Walterboro; grandchildren, Rebekah Anais Moffitt (Anthony Smith) of Columbia and Jessica Michelle Clark (Logan Murdock) of Fayetteville, North Carolina; great grandchildren, Anthony “AJ” Tyler Smith, Jr. and Chloe Ann Smith, both of Columbia; niece, Taylor “TT” DuBoise of Walterboro; along with any other loving cousins, nieces, and nephews who will miss her dearly.

The family would especially like to thank Shawn’s sons, Darrell James DuBoise and Adam Kelly, for their years of love, dedication, and care for Shawn.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made in Shawn’s name to Agape Hospice, 4 Grober Hill Road, Beaufort, South Carolina 29906.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date at Edisto Beach.
