Sharon Hayes

Mrs. Sharon Hudson Hayes, 61, of Walterboro, entered into rest Friday morning, January 28, 2022 at Colleton Medical Center.

Born June 1, 1960 in Walterboro, she was a daughter of the late J.P. Hudson and Nellie Rae DeWitt Hudson.  She was a housekeeper for Econo Lodge in Walterboro for over 30 years.  She was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church.  Sharon loved flowers and country living.  Most of all, she loved her family and spending time with her grandchildren.  She will always be remembered for the love she had for everyone, always taking care of everyone and being kind to everyone including strangers.

Surviving are: her husband of 45 years, Chuck Hayes of Walterboro; children, Brady Hayes (Ashley Rahn) of Walterboro and Jackie Gardner and her husband Jason of North Carolina; grandchildren, Ian Hayes, Corey Hipps, Audrey Gardner, Leland Tisdale, Brendan Tisdale, Angela McGee, and Noah Gardner who is due February 25; her niece that she loved as her own, Debbie Bennett and her husband Bruce of Ruffin; brother, Joseph Hudson of Mobile, Alabama; and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her siblings, Myrtle Weatherford, Nancy Hudson, and John Hudson.

Funeral services will be held 11 am, Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at The Brice Herndon Funeral Chapel, Walterboro.  Interment will follow in Pine Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Pine Grove Road, Walterboro.
