Scott Upton

IRMO – Mr. Scott Michael Upton, a lover of laughter, adventure, and good company, passed away on Saturday, March 1st, 2025, with a heart full of love and memories. Though his time here feels far too short, he made sure to fill every moment with joy, stories, and plenty of dancing.

A true dog person at heart, Scott never met a pup he didn’t love—especially his beloved dogs, Cadence and Caine. Whether fishing on a quiet morning or striking up a conversation with a stranger, he had a way of making life feel lighter. His greatest pride and joy was his son, Dylan, who he loved unconditionally. He taught him to laugh often, try new things, and never turn down a good opportunity. Music, travel, and his love for family were what made Scott happiest. We will miss his infectious energy, his big personality, and the way he made every moment a little more fun.

He is survived by his son Dylan Upton, brother Tom Upton (Danielle), and nephew Davis Upton. He is preceded in death by his father Mike Upton and mother Dari Upton.
