Sarah Cole Hardy

April 13, 2011 — December 12, 2023

Walterboro, South Carolina

Sarah Cole Hardy, God’s most beautiful angel, flew away to live with Jesus on December 12, 2023.  Born on April 13, 2011, a sassy little redhead, Sarah Cole lived a fearless life full of laughter and joy.  She loved and was loved by everyone she met.  Sarah Cole saw beauty in everything and everybody and never met a stranger.   An avid lover of rocks, sticks, beads, leaves and all things interesting, Sarah Cole danced and sang her way through this life, and she never stopped smiling, hugging and telling knock-knock jokes.

She leaves behind a family who will forever miss her and will love her until our last breath.  Even though our hearts are broken, we know that she’s already established herself as the queen of heaven and is happily dancing her way through the clouds and swinging from star to star.

Surviving are: her parents, Eric and Cassy Hill Hardy of Walterboro; sister, Steelee Chase Hardy of Walterboro; grandparents, Buddy and Becky Steele Hill of Walterboro, and Medinna Barnes of Walterboro; great grandmothers, Betty Lee Steele and Angie Hickman; great grandfather, J.C. Hardy; aunts, Whitlee Hill Fisk and her husband Ryan, Nicki Smith and her husband T.J., Cheyenne Crosby, Chancey Padgett and her husband Shaun, Megan Smoak and her husband Jason, Taylor Hoff, Rilee Anne Westbury and her husband Josh, and Laura Miller and her husband Anthony; uncle, Jimmy Lee and his wife Collins; great aunts, Marie Hill Hoff and her husband Terry, Sandy Steele, and Carol Shultz and her husband David; great uncles, Chris Steele and his wife Brandy, and Bobby Jordan and his wife Christy; as well as her beloved cousins, Jace, Lake, Emery, Nolan, Fabre, Madisyn, Payton, Niah, Makenly, Jackson, Brixton, Will, Warren, Rentz Anne, Mary Claire, Graham, Maggie Mae, and Joshua.  She was preceded in death by her great grandparents, Guerry and Janie Hill, George Steele, Ethel and Roy Jordan, and Diane Clark Hardy; uncles, Travis Watkins and Alex Lowe; and a great uncle, Chip Steele.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to: Shawn Jenkins Childrens Hospital, care of MUSC Foundation, 18 Bee Street, MSC 450, Charleston, South Carolina 29425; Courageous Kidz, 230 Old Dominion Road, Charleston, South Carolina 29418, www.courageouskidz.org; or to The Ronald McDonald House, 81 Gadsden Street, Charleston, South Carolina 29401.
